Listen to the VAD-04
I bought a VAD-04 strictly for travel and light use. The day I bought it I paid a visit to United Airlines. As I was walking up to the counter the clerk said that he had seen these before and that there was no problem taking it on as carry-on. .I think that this is a great value and a nice sounding piece All in all it is a winner in my book. I’ve heard less sound from much more expensive instruments. I may mike it because I think it compares to my Taylor 814ce and Breedlove it surprised me!

If a would-be buyer is an experienced player or dedicated student with a need to keep a guitar nearby regardless of location, there's no worry the Voyage-Air will let them down when it's time to strum.

I tested my VAD-04 and backpack on our family’s recent trip to Toronto. Our flight was with Air Canada and had no issues checking in or fitting it in the overhead compartment. The guitar worked great! Everyone loved it and said it sounded great. We added a sound pickup so we could plug it into an amp. If you’re traveling and want to take your guitar with you this is the one you need. They are very reasonable priced and make a great sounding guitar too. Made from the toughest engineered tonewoods, this guitar is rugged and durable, yet gives up nothing in tone and playability to my more expensive Dreadnoughts.

My main acoustic is a Voyage Air VAD-04. They are amazing sounding and projecting guitars for the $$, and IMO incredible value guitars, that have the bonus of convenient traveling. I would have been satisfied with either one, but thanks to my wife contributing a major part of the cost for my birthday present, I went for the VAD-04. Since getting mine, it I've taken it on a trip to Argentina, two trips to Brazil, Nevada City, CA, Reno, Denver, and other weekend trips. I haven't noticed any change in the neck relief or action, and the hinge is super sturdy and precise. When I'm on trips, it stays unfolded in the super well designed and functional travel case, except when I take it out to play. At home, I keep it unfolded, ready to play, in a Gator Brand semi-rigid case, but it only takes a few seconds to fold/unfold, so it's not that inconvenient to use the travel case. It's my favorite guitar to play.

The Voyage-Air guitar plays VAD-04 as well and sounds and looks as good as or better than many fixed-built guitars in the same price range.

This guitar folds in half for travel! That makes it a 10 right there because no other full-size Dreadnought does this.
